"Current Affairs" is a series of works that respond both to pre and post election, personally as a woman, and more broadly, as a citizen reconsidering social justice and the integrity of the political climate.
"A Passage Of Time" one of the first pieces I start working on while in quarantine. The installation of cardboard toilet paper rolls, marked with dates, were used to engrave and mark the times we lived in during this pandemic. A Passage Of Time was an ongoing project that I chose to end on June 15, 2021, when the COVID restrictions were lifted. I feel it is imperative to archive these rolls so future generations, and those who have lived through this, remember what has occurred (hoarding toilet paper) in these historic times. The endings of the markings are no way the sign of the end of the pandemic, just a milestone to the opening of the city.
